About Us

Kestrel Consultants was founded in 2004 by Kit Howard. We are based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, home to the University of Michigan, numerous CROs, start-up pharma companies and other life sciences organizations. Our organization includes Kit Howard, Principal and Owner, Victor Foshion, Product Services Manager, and a network of collaborative consultants.

Kit Howard
MS, CCDM, Principal and Owner

Kit Howard is the founder and owner of Kestrel Consultants and has over 20 years of experience in the industry.

She specializes in cross-functional clinical data and process standards that span from protocol to clinical study report. In addition, she serves on the Editorial Board for the Society for Clinical Data Management, and on the management team for CDISC’s CDASH standards development project.

Kit received her undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College in Biology with a minor in History and Philosophy of Science, and her graduate degree from the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis.

Lynne Welling
Consultant

Lori Weaver and Lynne Welling are cofounders and owners of LEAD Clinical Research.

They are collaborative consultants for Kestrel Consultants and they have over 45 years combined experience in clinical research. They also have expertise in clinical and operational aspects of drug development in multiple therapeutic areas and have a thorough understanding of regulations associated with clinical trial conduct.

They have extensive experience in worldwide Phase I-III clinical trials from protocol design through final study report, audit preparation/inspection readiness and IND/NDA submissions.

Lori received her B.S. degree from Michigan State University

Lynne received her B.A. degree from Wayne State University.

Victor Foshion
Support Services Manager

Victor Foshion is the Product Services Manager at Kestrel.

He is the main contact for general inquiries, marketing activities, and product inquiries.

He has extensive office management, marketing and legal experience.

Victor has a BFA from the University of Michigan.
